Batu is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans photography, installation, and textile-based processes. Recently, she has been working extensively with analogue photography, developing her own film in the darkroom.

Exhibited internationally, her work is personal and raw, grounded in handmade techniques and explores themes of femininity, the body, repetition, memory, and physical labour.

Alongside her studio practice, Batu travels the world as a tattoo artist, appearing as a guest in well-known studios. This direct, physical engagement with the body, skin, touch, and line feeds back into her artistic practice.
